LaMancha's
Seth has 2 LaMancha does that are in milk. He just started milking them yesterday and so far we have a full gallon of milk. We're planning to make cheese and yogurt.
Calf
We now have a little heifer calf. We traded a steer for her so we now have 2 heifers and a steer we're feeding out to eat. The other heifer and the steer live at the in-laws, but Blackie came to live at our farm since she's too little to be with the bull. When she's ready to be bred, she'll take a trip back to Grandpas. For now, she's staying in the trailer until Seth gets her halter broke. She's really calmed down and lets him pet her.

Ducks
The ducks don't serve any real purpose, other than they are really fun to watch waddle around. Seth has a duck sitting on eggs, so hopefully she'll hatch some. I bought 4 babies from the a garage sale a couple of weekends ago. They are living in the pen with the meat chickens and are eating their feed.

Welcome to our farm!
I've created this blog because I'm really bad at keeping books. Not just bad, unorganized, "scattered" is the only word that comes to mind right now. This will help me track feed bills and to post pics of our animals and produce. It will be fun for me to go back and see how our little farm has changed.
We have goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, cats & dogs. And fun, lots and lots of family farm fun!!!
